Maintaining Quality Through Control

We understand that it is absolutely essential that we maintain strict control of the quality of our services. We do so through a well structured programme of selection, training, supervision and inspection.

Selection:

Our employees have to undergo stringent vetting procedures before employment. This includes a thorough check of the applicant's work history over the past ten years.

In addition we obtain references from former employers and character references.

Training:

Meridian Security has met all licensing targets set by the SIA (Security Industry Authority) with regards to the compulsory licensing of security operatives.

Before an officer is allocated to a position at Meridian Security they will undergo an intensive training programme which includes a final examination in basic job training and conflict management as assessed by the NOCN (National Open College Network). Further training is provided as required.

Supervision:

Our duty officers are monitored by Central Control. This operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. Our operations Controllers are trained to deal with any emergency that may arise. This important link to our officers on site ensures that full back-up is quickly available to further safeguard our clients' staff, property and premises.

Inspection:

Our team of supervisors make frequent visits to our clients premises to check that the security procedures are being carried out in accordance with the duty instructions. These inspections will also identify any changes in circumstances which might have weakened security. They will make recommendations to the client as necessary.

We are also subject to regular external inspections by the National Security Inspectorate (NSI) and have achieved their Silver Guarding level.
